Staff Support -- Executive Officer to the Chief of Police

The Executive Officer to the Chief is the Administrator of the Staff Support Division. Unlike other divisions within the Police Department the Staff Support Division reports directly to the Chief of Police.

The Executive Officer prepares special reports and work plans as well as handling community issues as directed. He is responsible for providing departmental leadership of emerging trends and issues for the purpose of supporting department goals.  The Executive Officer also helps to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient, accountable, and responsible manner. He is also responsible for coordination of the Chief's agenda by managing functions of the Executive Office through subordinate units.

The Executive Officer to the Chief of Police has direct oversight of the following Units:

  • Professional Standards
  • Internal Investigations
  • Community Affairs
