K-9 Unit
Police Canines serve as a support function to all areas of the Police Department's drug enforcement activities detecting and identifying controlled substances. They also aid in locating lost or missing persons in emergency situations and they protect officers and citizens in building searches.
The Department's three K-9 teams provide support to the officers in the field during the most demanding time for calls-for-service.
